The strategic priorities for the regulatory environment development in the field of electronic communications for 2024-2026
For increasing the predictability, transparency and openness of the NCEC's activities for all stakeholders, effective planning of the NCEC's internal work, as well as for introducing the best tools and practices of the European Union, the NCEC carries out strategic planning; the NCEC's decision as of 26.06.2024 approved the following NCEC‘s strategic priorities for the regulatory environment development in the field of electronic communications for 2024-2026:
- alignment of the sectoral legislation with the EU acquis for integration into the EU Digital Single Market in the field of electronic communications;
- development of electronic communication networks and the introduction of the latest radio technologies to ensure resilient Gigabit broadband connectivity;
- projecting Ukraine as a role model (Ukraine as a role model for other countries and a source of inspiration for the operators worldwide in terms of improving network resilience);
- development of international cooperation and technical assistance projects;
- increasing the institutional capacity of the NCEC.
These strategic priorities define the key focus areas and regulatory initiatives which the NCEC will focus on in the coming years to ensure the further integration into the EU Digital Single Market, to support the sustainable post-war recovery of electronic communications and radio frequency spectrum fields, and to ensure a predictable, competitive and effective regulatory environment for the electronic communications market, as well as to promote the strengthening of systematic work with international partners and donors.
